Even though presents have been opened and family dinners have commenced, one important celebration remains…New Year’s Eve!  This is one holiday festivity where fashion always makes a statement.  In the midst of planning who you’re going to see and where you’re going be, take a moment to decide exactly what you’re going to wear to bring in the New Year.  Guitar Girl Magazine has put together a list of party-ready ensembles to have you looking fashionably fresh for 2013.

Rockstar Chic

Nobody parties – or dresses – like a rockstar.  Start with a great pair of leather leggings, but keep it interesting with sheer paneling or embellished seams.  Mix it up with a show-stopping top, try a fur trimmed vest or blouse decorated in abstract patterns.  The ultimate pair of stiletto boots are key, making your look instantly chic.  Finalize your rockstar status with a studded cuff and angular earrings.

Glamour Goddess

Nothing says “celebration” quite like sequins and gold.  This New Year’s Eve, reveal your inner goddess with figure-hugging dresses, decked out in sparkles and shimmering metallics.  Pick a color that works with your skin tone; think silver, bronze, or even deep gemtones.  Keep your accessories equally flashy with jeweled earrings and necklaces or matching headpieces.  Stay warm with textured tights and don’t forget to add a little extra sparkle to your footwear.  Even Cinderella would be jealous of these crystal pumps.

Perfectly Polished

You don’t have to be drenched in gold to look fabulous for 2013.  Keep your look simple by choosing elegant separates.  Try pairing a short leather skirt with a sheer blouse.  Add some interest with vibrant colors or sweet bow-necklines.  Bring your ensemble to life by layering up with a statement jacket.  Subtle sparkles are the perfect way to accent your outfit.  Do this with a trendy clutch or bauble ring.

Whether you’re headed out for huge holiday celebration or having an imitate party with friends, keep your New Year’s fashion playful and easy.  Channel your inner fashion maven and experiment with something new, either way you’re sure to start 2013 in style.
