What an incredible evening at the Americana Honors & Awards with several phenomenal female musicians taking the lead with major wins from Brandi Carlile with Artist of the Year, Emerging Act of the Year with War & Treaty, Legacy of Americana Award with Rhiannon Giddens and the Trailblazer Award to Maria Muldaur. There were many eclectic performances, including Carlile, a soul-stirring opener by Our Native Daughters, an amazing cover of “Angel from Montgomery,” by John Prine and Bonnie Raitt.

Additional performances consisted of Rhiannon Giddens, Lori McKenna, Buddy & Julie Miller, Maria Muldaur, Amanda Shires and Mumford & Sons, among many others.
